Not a lot of time last night, but I didn’t want to let another day go by without doing something, so I did two really quick portraits in pencil working from some photos at pixelovely. This top one is the one I spent the most time on, & I think it’s probably the better one. I wasn’t going for super detailed or even super realistic.

With this one, I was both tired & wanting to go to bed and thus had less time to work on it (the neck down was mostly just scribbled in real quick), but I was also wanting to try a slightly different approach. There are things I like about this one, even though I’m crazy about it – mostly the facial features. So, I might try doing something like this again at some point, just to change it up & attempt new things.
