So! I’ve actually been doing some drawing since my last post. What I’ve been working at lately is just simple construction drawing (simplifying characters into shapes), which is why I’ve been working from the Preston Blair book. The page above is from yesterday, and although there are still some crummy drawings in there, I feel like I’m starting to get back into the swing of things.
Last night was one of my late nights at work, so it’s generally a night when I don’t have as much time for drawing. For that reason, I decided to go with a few more Preston Blair cartoon animals so it wasn’t too time consuming. I was lazy, lazy, lazy last night – just getting in at least one day of procrastination before daily drawing & song writing begins tomorrow, right? Anyway, I felt guilty this morning & did a few really quick Preston Blair drawings – these are more of the skeleton foundations I did back in January (!) – I can’t believe it’s been that long.
Yeah, I haven’t posted anything in awhile. So for now, here’s a bit of doodling I did at a meeting at work yesterday afternoon. I feel like if I don’t do something during meetings, I start to go crazy. Continue reading
This isn’t a huge post this time. I practiced a little more with the Proko/Loomis heads, so I’ll post those here. Yesterday was quite busy – had to make a pizza dip for a potluck at work. And drawing is not actually my main squeeze – music is. I’ve been so busy trying to write stuff lately and getting my band up & running again.
Excuses, excuses, right? Continue reading

Alright, these ones above are some of my weaker drawings. But hey, when I set out originally, I said I would post both the good and bad, and so here I deliver! It’s just motivation to improve, really. Continue reading
