I’m not even sure how long it’s been since I’ve done any gesture drawings, but they’re always good practice, & always a good thing to do when I don’t have a ton of time!
Yeah, I sort of dropped the ball again. Sorry, guys. But I’m back, & once again I’m aiming at updating more regularly. I actually did some drawing while I’ve been away but neglected to upload it.
I didn’t have a lot of time these past few days, but I had a little window this morning, so gesture drawings it was!
The past few days have been really busy, and I’m sorry for not updating! However, I have definitely been drawing at least a little everyday. In this post, I’m including 3 days of gesture drawings (this past Friday, Saturday & Sunday) as well as some quick anatomical studies of the arm as you can see from above, which I drew from Atlas of Human Anatomy for the Artist.
Sorry, guys, I feel like I’ve barely had a chance to visit this blog the past couple days! I didn’t have a chance to update, but I have been working on gestures yet again. So, here are my drawings from Wednesday & Thursday this week.
Another busy weekend! I did have time for a longer drawing on Sunday & chose to draw another building – St. Ibb’s Church on the island of Ven (or Hven?), Sweden. I was here last fall & it was very pretty.
Last night was kind of a meh night for me for drawing – I only have 3 gesture drawings, which I’ll show below. To make up for my pathetic offering, I’m first starting with this drawing of a hand that I did at a work-related workshop today. I actually drew this one in light pencil first, then outlined & detailed with a few different Micron pens – including a “brush” pen, which I really liked for nice, thick lines. I guess this one turned out ok, but it’s probably not my best hand. I was kind of rushed, though.
