I’m getting to the end of this section in Figure Drawing For All It’s Worth! Just a little bit more. As you can see, these mannikins are slightly more fleshed out than some of the others I’d been doing. I feel like I’m starting to get the proper feel for them. Continue reading
I only had time for a quick drawing last night, so, more Andrew Loomis stuff. I’m really determined to get through this section. Not much to say, I guess – I probably won’t have much time tonight, either, but I’ll try to knock out a few. It’s been awhile since I’ve done any life drawing/still lifes, though, so I want to get back to that soon as well.
I did draw over the weekend, but at the moment I don’t have a scanner at home (well, I don’t have a cable for it), so my posts generally wait until I’m back at work.
Anyway, more Loomis mannikins! I’m nearly done with the ones in the book, but like I said, I should probably try & draw some of my own from photos of people.
I know you all must be getting sick of seeing these by now! I only had enough time to do four of these – the one on the bottom right is starting to incorporate sort of a line of action, I guess. Anyway, I will probably be doing at least a little bit more of these for now – although I have a meeting at work later today, so you might also be seeing some more doodles here tomorrow.
Sorry for the lack of updates! That cold I had ended up getting a bit worse & I was mostly in bed until yesterday. So I decided to do some more Loomis mannikins. Right now I’m just drawing from the book, but I may try to create some of my own from some photos of people.
I managed to catch a bit of cold & didn’t get to post at all yesterday, but last night I did some more Andrew Loomis mannikins from the book Figure Drawing For All It’s Worth. Not much to write about these – I’d like to get to the point where I’m less sketchy with my lines, but I guess I’m still a bit unsure of myself. The top middle one was a bit funny, too – I was trying to draw the mannikins so their feet would end up on the bottom line, but I clearly missed it with that one!
Over the weekend I took a look at the mannkins in Andrew Loomis’ book Figure Drawing For All It’s Worth, as well as the proportions he lays out: Continue reading
