Weekend fawn & more gestures, of course

Fawn Drawing, 4.12.15

Hello hello!  I’m almost halfway through my month of daily drawing & daily music writing, & so far I’ve been keeping up. The fawn drawing above is what I did on Sunday – I drew it in pencil first & then detailed it in ink with my Micron pens.  I think it turned out pretty decent, but one thing I had a hard time with was the fawn’s spots & color variations in its fur.  I didn’t want to add too many pen strokes, but I still wanted to try & show where the color was darker, lighter, shading, etc.  I also didn’t go for as bold of an outline as I have in the past.

This weekend was pretty busy, particularly Friday & Saturday – it’s hard to get drawing in when your schedule is basically work all day, then immediately after, other activities away from home until bedtime!  But I managed to do some gestures on Friday and Saturday, and I’m sticking them at the bottom of this post since they’re a little boring.

I started off with some 45 second gestures on Friday:

And that’s that for today!  I’m hoping to be more productive this week than I was last week.
